Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs every paid engagement with NR Legal Services, a legal practice operated by Adv. Nelson Roy, Advocate, based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. By making a payment on this website you agree to the terms below. This policy is published in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Razorpay's merchant policy requirements.

1. Nature of services

We provide professional legal services including document drafting, contract review, legal research, advisory, and compliance assistance. All deliverables are bespoke intellectual work product prepared by a qualified Advocate. Once drafting work has commenced on a matter, time and expertise have been irreversibly expended and the engagement is considered substantially performed.

2. Refund eligibility

  • Full refund — if you cancel in writing before drafting work begins on your matter.
  • Partial refund — if work has started but the matter has not been delivered, a pro-rated refund will be calculated based on the work already completed (typically 30%–70% of the fee).
  • No refund — once the final deliverable has been emailed or made available in your Client Portal, the engagement is complete and the fee is non-refundable.
  • Service failure — if we are unable to deliver the agreed scope within the stated timeline due to reasons attributable to us, you are entitled to a full refund.

3. Cancellation process

  1. Email a cancellation request to contactnrgloballegal@gmail.com from the email address used at the time of purchase.
  2. Quote your order/matter reference number (e.g. NR-MKT-XXXX).
  3. Briefly state the reason for cancellation.
  4. You will receive an acknowledgement within one business day and a refund decision within three business days.

4. Refund processing timelines

Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method through Razorpay. Funds typically reflect in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. NR Legal Services is not liable for delays caused by the payment gateway or your bank.

5. Payment disputes & chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please raise it with us first at contactnrgloballegal@gmail.com. We commit to resolving genuine disputes promptly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of services and recovery action for the disputed amount where a deliverable has already been provided.

6. Digital legal services — special note

As legal documents are digital intellectual work product, once delivered they cannot be "returned." Refund eligibility therefore depends on the stage of work at the time of the cancellation request, not on whether the document meets your subjective preference. Revisions within the scope of your selected service tier are provided free of charge as per the document's revision policy.

7. Failed or duplicate payments

If your payment is debited but no order confirmation is received, or if you are charged twice for the same order, the excess amount is refunded automatically once our reconciliation confirms the duplicate. If the refund does not reach you within 7 business days, email us with your transaction reference and we will investigate with Razorpay.

8. Governing law & jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana.
